With a history spanning more than 100 years, we are the only remaining independent mixed veterinary practice in East Kent. Our dedicated small animal team provides a comprehensive range of services, with a strong focus on tailoring care to the individual needs of each pet.

White Mill has made significant investment in state - of - the - art facilities and equipment, enabling us to offer an extensive range of diagnostic, surgical, medical and aftercare services on site. As a result, the majority of investigations and treatments can be carried out without the need to refer your pet elsewhere.

Our friendly, experienced and highly motivated small animal team offers:
  1. Routine and preventative healthcare
  2. Vaccinations and microchipping
  3. Neutering and a wide range of general surgical procedures
  4. Dental treatments using modern dental equipment
  5. An in-house laboratory with haematology, biochemistry and hormone analysers, alongside access to additional external laboratory services
  6. In-house diagnostic imaging, including digital X-ray, ultrasound and endoscopy
  7. BVA Hip and Elbow scoring, as well as testing for other inherited conditions
  8. Animal Health Certificates for European travel, preparatory testing and certification for worldwide travel, with liaison with your nominated travel agent
  9. Nurse-led clinics for bandage and dressing changes, post-operative checks, blood sampling, geriatric health checks, medication administration, second vaccinations, nail clipping, weight management, anal gland expression and minor de-matting
  10. Access to visiting specialist services, including an orthopaedic surgeon, cardiologist and ultrasonographer, with referral to local ophthalmologists when required
  11. Saturday morning clinics for urgent cases
  12. Home visits for euthanasia and for patients unable to attend the practice
  13. Free puppy socialisation classes run by Patricia Cornwell, a retired veterinary surgeon, supported by a veterinary nurse
  14. Established relationships with recognised referral centres
  15. Competitively priced medicines, with prescriptions available if required

Our main clinic is based in Sandwich, with a satellite branch in Aylesham. A veterinary ambulance service is available for the transfer of patients to our main clinic when needed.
